I have a warrant out for my arrest in a different county. I'm too scared to go take care of it because I've been on Suboxone for over a year now and I don't want to get taken back to jail to feel like that ever again. I know I can't be on Suboxone forever but it's a well known fact that getting off of them is a nightmare. Someone told me they used the Sublocade shot to slowly taper off completely and it was easy for them, but I don't believe it. Has anyone tried this?
Do you have an attorney you could possibly consult w ?
Like Dave said, talk to an attorney. Eventually you will need to deal with it, running from the past never works. It will always be looming over you like a shadow. Rehab may be another option to get off it. They can help you through the detox and get you clean. Hope it all works out for you. It sounds like you have some hard decisions to make. Good luck!
I’ve never even heard of this shot. I am on methadone maintenance and have been on subs, lowered til I got off and then used kratom to get off completely.. I felt awful though and only lasted a week before I relapsed. I was in an abusive relationship and the guy was insecure that I was able to get myself clean and he was on me every day trying to make me relapse.
Anyway.. it all depends on how long you’ve been on subs. People who aren’t on them long, seem to get off much easier.
I know a lot of tricks to help with withdrawal symptoms. If you need advice, don’t hesitate to send a message
As far as the arrest.. how long would you be in jail for? I know how stressful this is. if you turn yourself in, you may be able to get bailed out within 24 hours. It’s a good idea to go in with a lawyer, so if they so arrest you, the lawyer can immediately bail you out as well as reduce the fees and charges.
Also, look into how they treat people who are on these kinds of meds. Some jails are now treating instead of forcing a detox..
Of course if jail time will be long, it would be better to be prepared and get a shot then to be arrested on a random day without the shot.
