Has anyone read the book This Naked Mind by Annie Grace? I am loving it and am writing down so many things about drinking alcohol that designate with me.
It is an amazing book and a great program/perspective.
It was the only thing that helped me. I have been sober since doing the alcohol experiment a year and 4 months ago.
After a 20 year daily drinking habit.
I’m pretty sure I owe my life to Annie Grace.
I can’t put it down and it seems so logical. Question, when you go to a party was is your go to drink? I shouldn’t have to worry what people think I drink, but it was always beer or wine and now I feel naked. Again so sad that society makes us think you’ve got to have a drink in hand.
Thanks!
I read it in my first week of sobriety and I think it really helped it stick for me. I'm just about at 10 months now and I still recommend that book to people any time they'll let me talk about it.
I also love Quit Like a Woman by Holly Whittaker. If you haven't read that one, I'd definitely put it on your list.
Yes, I’ve started This Naked Mind and can totally relate to stuff she talks about!
Quit Like A Woman. I’ll have to check it out!
I don’t go to a lot of parties but if I’m socializing I’ll usually do a seltzer water.
If I want to “blend in” I’ll do a seltzer water in a glass with a splash of cranberry juice.
