Just make sure you have an exit plan in place in case it overwhelms you. Drive yourself if you can or take another sober friend with.

Hi Danny, in addition to what K said, another thing that helps me when I’m in big social settings with drinking is to always have a NA beverage in my hand. Good luck!

If you worry about it .I used to go to a aa meetings befor I go any where with drinking.or call some one in the program.

I understand that one totally. I will have 3 years tomorrow and I still worry about social events.
