Have you noticed that your taste in music has changed since getting sober?

Not since getting sober, but once I started being more active in tackling my depression, I had to drop 90s grunge (particularly Nirvana) from my catalog. I love that music, but it always sends my mood spiraling.

What was your shift?

When I 1st got sober I went to the grundge but maybe a year later I moved to the grateful dead, moon duo and other hippy music.

I dropped the “emo/angry” music as my wife calls it. Oddly I have been listening to country. Like 80s 90s country.

I went to punk, mostly pop-punk and some ska-punk myself.

Nope I've always had great taste in music, high, drunk or sober. It's my super power.

Interesting idea. George Jones has definitely lost some luster lol.

I'm not a religious man, I don't even believe in the flying spaghetti monster, but I will be praying for you, all weekend, brother.

Lol… it’s really not all that bad. The message in most of the songs is actually pretty good. And I am a country boy anyway

Not at all.

Yes, I want music with meaning. Deep soulful music.

I still listen to the same music it’s all pop punk and rap

1000%. Way more interested in various genres rather than only EDM shows where I could party hard. Have more time to explore new music too than I did when I spent so much time drinking.
