Having my coffee and reflecting on my life. Why did I let it get so bad? Feeling overwhelmed rn. Ugh
We can always make life better. Just have to choose to do so, and follow through with good decisions, daily.
I know therapy says otherwise sometimes, but I think regret is a useless emotion. Nothing you can do to change those past actions. You can only control the present. Focus on sobriety and improving a little every day. Improvement can be in virtually anything, even under water basket weaving or what have you lol. Just start small with improvements to hopefully reset your dopamine reward system. We've all screwed up our dopamine and other neurotransmitters to only feel positive when using/ drinking rather than in our accomplishments no matter how small, like non-addict people. One day at a time. Good luck
