I just spent the last few days with a friend. He has severe MS and is a cancer survivor. He lives on SSI and other programs. He is an intelligent, educated man trapped in a broken body.
He had a health crisis on Sunday. One of many and not his last.
Somehow, he stays above it all and keeps moving on. He is engaged to a wonderful girl, and she treats him well.
As I sat by his bed listening to him Crack the jokes, I can't help but feel stronger .
He faces real demons, and mine are just in my head!!!
