All you can do is send good vibes are way wish her the best on her own healing journey man
So proud of you for doing whatâs right for you. Acceptance of what you can and canât control is how we stay sober.
I wish there was a magical wand that could help with the heartache, but you just have to feel it. And it sucks. Going through the high and lows, one moment youâll be okay, another your broken again. But keep in your circle of sober people close, cling closer, use them. And whoâs to say, or judge if you ended up back with her, we make choices because we think we want or need this person or thing, but donât lose sight of your recovery. The fact that you made the choice already shows a lot, but you never know. Just no matter what donât pick up. Your not alone weâre here for you! Send you love
Proud of you. You put your sobriety first.
Good move! Sorry youâre feeling down. But itâs for the better. In time youâll heal and find the right lady to be by your side
I pray a rescue party comes for her like what came for me. I won't hold her tight in the burning house. If sobriety finds her I would gladly walk that path with her but not the path of active addiction with no acceptance of it. Thank you to everyone who responded. I am sure it will come and go. I feel like I am in the right place at this exact moment. Making it through a breakup with my dad on hospice and living in a new town with a very limited support group. We can stay sober no matter what. We have to.
I watched my wife mother of our girls drink herself to death. I drank with her , before I got sober for the girls. Long story short, my oldest is a college graduate and successful entrepreneur. My youngest is just finishing up her second doctorate degree. Canât be prouder.stay strong donât loose sight of your dreams and vision
Tough stuff my man. But, make the right choices, treat people right, life a fulfilled life. Right bro?
