I have no official connection to them, but have you ever heard of thePhoenix.org? An international organization of sober people who hike and bike and have have fun together.

Sometimes abstinence feels lonely because we have turned our back on the most intimate relationship we will ever know: our relationship with drugs.

Every time we deny our addiction a drink or a fix, it starves a little, because it feeds on our pain and fear, amd self-loathing. Picture when Dorothy threw a bucket of water on the Wicked Witch of the West.

For me and mine I say: Kill the Witch!
