Hello!! Is anyone here using naltrexone to assist with alcohol abuse? I started it 2 weeks ago.

I’m glad you’re exploring options that can help. Naltrexone has been a game-changer for a lot of people in recovery. Hopefully, others here can share their experiences with it.

It has been! It's just one less thing on my mind and I can focus on other things. Day 19

First couple of days we're rough.. I threw up a few times but after that I've felt amazing. Clear headed no nagging voice telling me to grab a drink. I can focus on the more important things at work and with my schooling. So it's been great!

Thank youu

My psychiatrist suggested it since I was really struggling. I got 125 days and then the holidays came and it was hard.

I went to Bradford health for 30 days for alcohol. I was a in patient. Or you can go to a psychiatrist and get prescribe

Yep!! My psych nurse prescribed it for me in outpatient (after detox), plus my antidepressant, and i truly believe to this day that those things got me through the first 90 days. "If you'll go to any length"... from my experience, I'd highly suggest it. It doesn't mean you're weak. It means you're brave to accept the help that you need...:heartpulse::sparkles:

Yeah I get it through Ria Health (pretty convenient). Never had any side effects. I think my energy levels are a bit better with it but that may also be from not drinking.

I'm just starting to feel like I'm sleeping better with it for sure. Definitely have higher energy levels for sure.
Jammerson you're welcome! It took me some time to get started on here myself but everything comes with time!
Go Debbie! Go Debbie! I am so proud of you thats amazing!

I did get sick too the first few days but after that I feel great. Sometimes it's just your body getting used to it. I'd rather puke a few days getting used to the pills and stay sober :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Yassss Parker!! I'm proud of you! Keep it up
