Hello. Looking for a sponsor. How do I go about this?

I found a couple of articles online that helped me to know how to go about it. Basically if you go to meetings regularly you will probably find out as you listen who you will think has what you want or who you feel comfortable about and who you like what they have to say all of these could be a fair candidate. And you can let people know during a meeting that you want to know how to go about choosing a sponsor.

There is a pamphlet on sponsorship as well you can get a copy of for some information

Sometimes someone you may want to ask may be busy and have as many sponsees as they can manage to have time for and if someone should hesitate you might ask them if the could be a temporary sponsor and that may help

I found it best to find a home group first (and AA or NA home group) and find out who at the home group is available to sponsor as they will ask at the end of each meeting for those folks to raise their hands. Then if you find one you think would be a good fit, ask them. Also, if it isn’t the right fit, you can always find another sponsor
