Hello Loosid Family

I’m Lance Bridges and will serve as the new community manager. As much excitement as I have for the opportunity, this introduction comes with a heavy heart as our forever manager, Steve Schilt, is no longer with us. His impact on this community was profound and will be sorely missed. My goal is to be half of the caring, thoughtful, and interactive leader that Steve was.

I could never begin this job without honoring his spirit and memory. To help with this, I’d love to hear your favorite interactions with Steve, and how he aided your sobriety journey. I look forward to connecting with as many of you as possible and taking the community to new heights. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.

Thanks Mike!

Hi Lance! I’m confident you are going to do a great job! Steve was a special guy, and always seemed to keep his cool as he dealt with all of the different personalities on Loosid. I never had any run ins with him, but we did have a few back and forth chats regarding several hot topics. He was a great listener, and always remained calm. He didn’t let his ego get in the way. He took security issues seriously, and expelled a lot of fraud accounts. I think he was at his best when he had to jump in and make peace when a thread went off the rails. He was very fair. He didn’t take sides. He didn’t use his powers unfairly. He preferred to give warnings and monitor with reason. Thanks for stepping up and filling the position as moderator. Easy does it brother

I'm Steve's wife. He was the nicest person I've encountered. He served his guts out. He was never too big or too small to do anything for anyone. Steve treated everyone like family. Steve didn't know a stranger.

His homegoing celebration was a testament to who he was. There were over 400 people in attendance.

I'll admit I am sad because my husband didn't realize the impact he had on people. Outside of our daughter and me, he felt alone. I wish he knew how important and loved he was while he was here.

I'm sorry that this post has taken a turn. But remember to give people their flowers while they live. Call or text someone. Be of service. Don't live in regret.
