Hello. My name is Brian. Working my way through day 3. Wound up in the hospital Tuesday morning. Dibetic neuropathy in both feet. Been crippled bedridden since. 38 year alcoholic.
Hey, welcome to Loosid.
So, so proud of you for taking the step to get sober
I am proud of you it's not easy to get sober it's simple but far from easy you have to get to a point where you know that you can't do it that the power to beat this is not in me and ask something greater than you to do it admit that it's beat you down in every area of life... Being humble I'll pray for you and hit a AA meeting work steps until they work you keep your head up
Ty!
Hey Brian, welcome to Loosid. A lot of us know what long term drinking can do, and the fact that you’re choosing something different right now says a lot. You’re not alone here. Take it one day, one hour at a time if you need to.
Ty!
Being bored and house or bed bound makes sobriety harder for me. But a medical scare like that is really scary!
I hope you find some tools to help you stay sober. And I hope the neuropathy reverses. Glad you're here!
I friend request you
I hope things get better for you, hoping you stay sober too
Thank You all! That’s my big brother!
I’m Courtney 7 plus years, no alcohol for me but by far the hardest thing to deal with!
I relearned to walk twice. Keep working. I wish you the best. There are no more giggles left in that bottle🙂
