Help I'm stuck!

Take it day to day girl. Start working on inner reflection and meditating. Go grab yourself a journal! Any feeling whether it being bored, stuck, exhausted.....write it down. You can always look back and reflect. Especially as time goes by. Seeing how far you've come everyday written on paper does wonders! Ebb and flow with the waves. Don't fight them. You're already winning! Healing is different for everyone. Take your time. Every day is precious.

I normally don’t really read the comments of others and am sure someone will suggest this but doing step work with a sponsor will get you out of that. There is somewhere in the steps procrastination and other things we all deal with that will help you plus you will get to
grow spiritually which is all you need to be fine with anything. I wish Inlistened when i started and got this earlier. Good luck to you

Ann, don’t trip! It’ll pass. Then it’ll come back, then pass again. It’s just your addict mind/ego trying to get you back. It gets easier with time and the 12 steps. The 12 steps multiple times saved me from myself.
I’m here if you want to talk

When you are having bad days or hard times, that’s your recovery telling you that you are doing good things for yourself. The enemy wants you miserable so you’ll use again. The enemy never bothers you when you are doing bad things to yourself because you are doing fine to hurt yourself without his help. Keep looming up, you’re doing a good job

I go for a walk or create a fitness goal. It’s not just about endorphins. For me, connecting to my physical self gives me clarity of mind and helps me think better. You also need to start somewhere when it comes to learning to love yourself. Taking care of your physical body is a start. For me it’s all about habits. You have to start replacing bad ones with good ones. I had to learn to be a good ā€œparentā€ to myself. Sometimes, if we’ve been stuck in this routine for a really long time, we get really good at doing things that make it easier for us to hate ourselves, making it easier to go back to drugs or alcohol. Start creating good morning habits and bedtime routines. Stupid simple stuff, but it’s all about you taking care of you.

All sobriety is achieved one day at a time - when I get stuck I get out to nature that usually helps. The breeze through the trees, birds, the sky.I also reach out to a friend or a sponsor who knows what I’m going through. reaching out to my higher power for help and guidance. I also know that I need downtime sometimes to recharge my batteries. Keep up the good work stay on your path.

I totally agree, I believe we are creatures of habits, whether they be good habits or bad habits. I replaced my drinking while bored, with walking, reading, other hobbies.

Don't beat yourself up. We all have days like that it'll pass. I used to have weeks like that when I first got sober. That's no kidding it was ridiculous. If you need to chat with somebody on the phone 612-235-1819 my name is Jim I belong to this app for quite a while factually.

Ann, i was feeling the same way, im 40 days sober today, and the feeling didn't go away until i started my 12 steps with my sponsor. Going to meetings really helps a lot

I find it satisfying to write out a list of what I want to accomplish each day, then cross things off as I finish. It sounds rudimentary, but seems to keep me motivated. I wish you all the best.
