Nine months alcohol free, life is definitely better. Because I am no longer numbing myself, I don’t want to waste anymore time. I need to find a group of individuals that want to tackle new experiences. I already do Crossfit, So I’m looking for physical adventures. Any ideas, thank you
Depending on where you are located, there are sports clubs you could join. Like golf leagues, soccer clubs, mountain biking clubs, hiking clubs.
I love to go hiking. It allows me to connect with myself and my higher power, enjoy nature and explore new areas. You could also try trail running if you're looking for something more intense
I felt the same way once I found recovery! Like I “wasted” so much time just even knowing and loving my inner child and authentic self! I honor and love “her”!
Dabble.com and Skillshare.com are two great sources but so is YouTube and TikTok!
Have fun getting to know and love the authentic you! You’ll feel your self-esteem grow and your relationship with HP get stronger so that it’s like you’re in a bubble of self-love, which for me, makes it so much easier to say no to alcohol.
May sound crazy, but I started working on my balance using a “bongo board” and it was awesome for core, legs and a general “buzz” of youthful energy. Also, these are quite expensive, but the bongo eventually evolved into a Onewheel which I now do every day. Love it - keeps me fit, young and out in the sun.
Cycling ! I am also 9+ months and I started cycling about two or so months ago. And dropped a lot of weight(30lbs ) . In my addiction I let myself go pretty bad!! Now it’s my way of getting fresh air and going on adventure !!!
Second Alejandro's suggestion! Cycling is my thing too!
