Hey everyone I did good for 14 days and had

Get back up and keep going. Slip can be flipped, they’re lessons.

Just look at what led to it, maybe it was old people, places, or even thinking patterns trying to sneak back in. Whatever it was, it’s a lesson now. Learn from it, grow from it, and don’t let it trick you into feeling any type of shame. You’re still in this.

Chapter One
I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost... I am helpless.
It isn’t my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

Chapter Two
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don’t see it.
I fall in again.
I can’t believe I am in the same place.
But it isn’t my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

Chapter Three
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in — it’s a habit.
My eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.

Chapter Four
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.

Chapter Five
I walk down another street.

This is a poem about addiction. Take from it what you will but this is a great example of the road to recovery many of us have experienced. Stay strong and keep going. I believe in you.

You learn from it and start again...you stopped for 14 days...that's awesome! Not only that but you took responsibility and are already reaching out...cut yourself some slack but I'd suggest some meetings and a sponsor....they keep you accountable...you got this!

That just means you're human it happens to everyone I think the best thing you can do is push through go to meetings get a sponsor and remember vigorous honesty with yourself and everybody else I thought I would lose friends whenever I quit doing what I was doing but you find out who your real friends are when they support you and they have your back and they love you and if your friends aren't those kind of people you didn't need them to begin with you're better than that keep your chin up keep going keep moving forward

I’ve been there a ton of times. You got this.

Very well said :+1:

It took me quite a few times to get sober man. Get right back on that horse man. Don't give up.

Something that helped me: journal the feelings you have right now, the people you hurt, everything. Write down the feelings you have, the consequences to your life. Write it down brother!
