Hey everyone new to this site! Almost 13 months

Hey everyone new to this site! Almost 13 months sober! Struggling with horrible cravings. I am an oxycodone fentanyl user. I’m also struggling with isolating and struggling to make sober friends and have my “tribe”…Any advice is helpful!

I would say try to find some women’s N.A. Or S.m.a.r.t. Recovery groups in your area, and if you’re not seeing a therapist, seek one. It really helps! I see my therapist tele-health my of the time cause i dont live close to where his office is. Every once in a while i take the drive down to Newport for an in person session. But try out therapy if you haven’t and are able to. It could be a game changer!

You’re welcome! Try to be patient with this app too, there’s great people on here a great community of really helpful people im just not sure if everything’s popping up in the feed the way that it should unfortunately. Hopefully this will be fixed soon!

I agree, this app has been super helpful. For now, people here have become my “tribe.”

Oh! Also! When you post on here if you hit that green tab where it says recovery theres a bunch of different options, one of them being “struggling help.”

What Trevor said. Also, I'm not sure where you live, but alot of areas also have non religious AA meetings. I mention these because at these meetings all are welcome, drugs or alcohol. So it could be another safe place for you to make irl contacts.

I was really excited to find this app. Because of the possibility of meeting people. I’m not sure if there are non religious 𝓐𝓪 meetings in my area. How would I even find out?

I do a good bit of zoom meetings and use the Everything AA app. It gives you a nice list of options. I like the “secular” meetings. They welcome agnostics and atheists.
