Hey guys just how about that I would hop on here and give somebody some encouragement tonight about recovery so here goes it doesn't matter if you have 24 hours or 1 hour after you make the decision the whole hearted choice to get off drugs nobody ever said it was going to be an easy fight trust me nothing in life comes easy getting on the drugs didn't even come easy because you went through terrible pain to get there this is the thing that I want people to understand you can have four years or 24 hours and it's still means of victory because nobody ever thought that you would get there here's the thing about it once you make that choice and you realize that you were powerless that whatever made you use in the first place the pain the tears the hurt the abandonments loss of love whatever it may be because it's a long list of things that could make you use or make you feel like you have to use I mean not being valid in your family after being the head of it working so hard to make sure everybody's okay it does not matter what brought you to your addiction if you have 30 minutes 1 hour 24 hours multiple years I applaud you for getting up making the decision that regardless of what the world takes you through you're not going back out there these things I tell you because I go through these things every single day I am challenged in ways that would make a person go crazy it wouldn't make you use drugs you would literally lose your mind this is when you have to pick your higher power and you cling to him or hurt her or do not of a door or whatever you decide to worship I'm with you I'm with you totally because that's how you're going to get through what you go through no matter what the world throws at you if you do not have the Divine spiritual connection you are going to fail at everything life throws at you including recovery because you have to have that connection with god with Muhammad with it doesn't matter who you have to have that connection to be able to get up and fight every single day because what people don't tell you about recovery and addiction is I'm always going to be an addict but the choice is mine is to wake up to be an addict and Recovery every single day you have to get up and make that choice I may be an addict but I'm an attitude recovery today I choose to fight for my life today I choose to make better decisions the day I choose to grow and become something that no one ever saw coming their way because if you don't make that decision you are just going to be an addict you have to change your mindset your lifelong goals you have to change everything about you to be able to do this to be you have to be able to say every single day I choose life I choose recovery I choose to fight for myself in ways that no one around me my family friends or Associates will never understand because they don't know what it took me out to get high in the first place they don't know what broke me and made me want to go and put a substance in my body all they know is I use the substance but they don't know the pain behind the usage so they feel like oh you could have just quit or oh you shouldn't have just started you don't know what I was going through so and I don't know what you're going through so therefore you should not judge me just like I should not judge you we all have a story and we all go through things some of us are weak when it comes to certain things and some of us are stronger and we can miss out on a lot of things but today every single day I get up and I choose I make a conscious decision that I am staying clean no matter what anybody throws at me because it's my choice to go over there and pick up a bowl of mess and bring it to my house or into my temple and that's easy for people not to understand oh she doesn't care she doesn't care I do care I just don't care about bringing your mess to my house because I bring your mess to my house that means I'm part of your mess and your message and I don't want that for my life today I'm choosing living I'm choosing life I'm choosing breath I'm choosing to smile through the pain I'm choosing to take the lessons that I learned through everything that's been thrown at me today I choose recovery today I am Alice Patricia Oliver and no one can take that away from me so guys whether you're fighting 30 minutes to an hour to 5:00 to 10:00 multiple multiple multiple years just know that it's possible if you get you at higher power you admit that you were powerless you made the conscience decision to stay clean and sober now this is where everything that you learn that was hurting you that was bringing you pain you let it go so you can heal properly and that's where your step 4 comes in because you cannot properly heal unless you do an inventory of everything that made you want to use that made you stay out there in the streets The Good the Bad and the Ugly of addiction which means Jail's prisons institutions sometimes death because a lot of us don't get a second or third or a fourth chance we got so if you're choosing to live today I'm with you inbox me I don't care if it's 1 2 3 4 5 6:00 a.m. I promise you you got to listening ear I also have a podcast it's called Ali's Recovery Road look it up and I promise you you are not alone in this fight at all I want everybody to be blessed stay strong and remember no matter what the world throws at you God is so much stronger have a great night
