I would say no to wine. We all end up in the same place if we start again.

Yeah see if he can bring you to a place that doesn't serve alcohol. That's making a smart choice ahead of time so you don't have to worry about being strong in the moment.

@ash143522 ... Sister I love you dearly however think about this. Are you willing to give up 503 days of sobriety for this boi let alone anyone? Think this through. Remember it was one glass that brought you to where you are in life.

Now, If your boi insists and knows you have a drinking problem then it's time to leave the little boi be. It's obvious that he could care less about you and your sobriety. A MAN will be in tune with that and will take all precautions to keep you from drinking and throwing your sobriety away.
So.. in closing DON'T DO IT. IT AIN'T WORTH IT.

No my bf is very supportive of my journey and has never pressured me to drink. He’s not a drinker either. Around holidays sometimes I do notice i want to partake. But I’m going to make the right choice and stay sober !

I would stick to soda or sparkling apple juice. Ginger ale is a great substitute for champagne. I hope you enjoy your dinner, and it will be a lot more fun if you can remember it tomorrow!

Nope don’t drink! Stay strong!

What they say is true. One is too many and a thousand is never enough. Personally, I don't think it's a great idea, but whatever you decide or decided, I hope you finish off the night sober, happy, and had a great day.

Thank you Chrissy ! I have def decided to just have a seltzer mocktail and keep up my sobriety!

@ash143522 You have chosen wisely to stay sober my friend

I say don’t take a chance! It’s not worth it

You know the answer. Hasn’t worked yet

Have a mock tail! Hope your dinner went well!

Don’t do it! Alcohol is a black and white issue, either you drink or you don’t! I’m over 40 years clean of alcohol. And have never looked back in action. IT KEEPS GETTING EASIER, until that option just fades away. Then you can’t imagine being other than your natural born self, and the thought of polluting your body is hideous and makes those that do seem stupid for not seeing the harm or not caring about themselves and family!

A “Mocktail” is pretending and still SUPPORTS the IDEA OF DRINKING. Walk away from the WHOLE IDEA and it gets easier yet; who is that fooling but yourself and saying I wish I could join you!
Within a month of quitting I also quit all the near beers for that same reason. Then I truly felt I had abandoned the NOTION OF DRINKING!!!
