Hey there, I lost my job recently as well, and also in recovery. I can remember in my early recovery if anything out of my control happened I would have spiraled out. I am still with out work after a month and have to tell myself everyday that going back to how I was before will not only harm any chances of me gaining meaningful employment it will hurt all the hard work I have put into my recovery. As addicts and alcoholics we hate change and when something so huge like this happens we often find ourselves back on the receiving end of the bottle. We have to remember that is only a temporary solution. The interviews you are going to have in the future will require you to be level headed and clear minded. Keep up the work on your recovery. One thing at a time. Tomorrow is tomorrow and today is today. You got this.

Been there, done that. Not meaning to be or sound harsh, using wasn’t an option . You , well, speaking for myself, I had to be or needed to be level headed for nxt interview. I’ve done the best thing that I was taught in early recovery & still holds true today, go to meetings share about it, simply look for another job & don’t use
