Hey, you okay?

Just breathe. This is temporary.

Yes I'm sober... I have spept 4 days straight. It's just scary waking up to all this mess. Cops were called.and everything I'm just so embarrassed and need to find work once I am feeling better

What kind of support do you have? Are you in any program?

No support and aa doesn't work for me I have tried. I have my husband that's about it but he's never here...I'm alone all the time

Try other online resources. AA isn't the only method available.

You're not alone.

Do you have insurance? Have you considered therapy?

I sent a friend request, if you don't want to keep this public.

I know this must be tough for you, but you will get through this. Reach out if you need to chat.

AA can work if you are willing to go to any lengths for sobriety. I suggest you try it again, since whatever else your doing is not working either.

Why doesn't AA "work for you"? Please explain, so we can help.

AA didn’t work for me either. It’s just not for everybody. There are so many other ways to get sober. Everybody’s recovery is gonna look different.

Sorry to hear about your trouble :pensive:. I go to Recovery Dharma meetings, they are Buddhist inspired. There's also Refuge Recovery, smart recovery, lifering, etc. They all have online meetings, see what works for you. These books really helped me: This Naked Mind by Annie Grace and Kick the Drink by Jason Vale. Grace has youtube videos that are very helpful as well. I also use the sub reddit, r/stopdrinking. Sometimes it takes something like this to wake yourself up. Once you get out of the drinking rut, you'll be so thankful you did. I'm not sure I'd have a job if it weren't for my partner waking me up some days, I would have slept straight through. I'm here if you need to talk :pray:t3:

Jesus Christ and therapy worked for me. It wasn't easy but it's definitely worth it. Best of luck on your journey

Hang in there.. always remember gratefulness in what IS good.. and what you go thru will seem like just a barefoot gravel road.. ugh.. things we go thru often reveal later why we did go thru them as well... And trust me, it's not always "to teach us a lesson".. I'm finding almost a peace... In what I'm going thru right now.. because looking at what I just went through and how I was before I went through it even to what I'm going through now.. I kind of put it like this.. when someone asked me how I'm doing I'm like well it could be a little better but it sure as heck ain't like it used to be

Hey Meja, I’m avail to talk anytime! Message me:call_me_hand:t3::v:t3::sunglasses:

What’s wrong? What happened

Try different AA meetings. Don’t stop trying. Your life is important.

Hope you’re doing better now. Did you lose your job because of the black out, or did you drink to black out after you lost your job?

I struggle with staying sober as well, but don’t let set backs jeopardize your journey. Just gotta hop back on the train and try to learn from the experience, since obviously you don’t want to go through that again

Praying for you Tessa
