Hi all! I am currently almost 4 months sober. I had a bit of a traumatic experience which has caused me to not struggle much being sober this go around. Of course alcohol loves to live rent free in my mind but I’ve been staying busy and my mental health has significantly improved. Ive been debating going to an AA meeting but I’m not sure if it will benefit me or not. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I go to meetings...it helps me to listen to other people that have already gone through the same struggles I have on a daily basis. What has helped them to maintain their sobriety....I always learn something new about myself at every meeting...I think you should give it a try...it's a yes from me!

Since you’re learning to live a new way of life, going to a AA meeting might be something you will benefit from. It won’t hurt to attend.

Going to AA meetings is always a great idea. As a recovering alcoholic the AA meetings are my medicine. I find solutions, peace and positivity in the rooms of AA. I went to lots of different meetings to find the ones I really enjoyed.
17 years sober and grateful. I’m here if you ever want to talk or have any questions
