Hello Kay, I have acquired Bibles 1 is the Giddion Bible I took from a hotel I stayed at on vacation. It is the easiest that I have. I also have a downloadable one The Boble Gateway. I have the free version. I don't find the Bible easy to read at all. I also recieve a called Our Daily Bread. It has 1 page inspirations based on the Bible similar to those posted here. It is also free or by donation. Go to ourdailybread.org. I read it with my morning coffee along with AA'S Daily reflection and other books. Yes I am a book worm reader. I think you will like Our Daily Bread. I have gotten other books from them, all very easy to read. I hope this helps. Reach out anytime and the Best of luck on your journey

The best modern translation is the CEV then the ESV. I still prefer my king James but I get most are uncomfortable with the language. The message is not a translation it is a paraphrase. Stay away from NIV because there is too much variation from one publisher to the next. Also there are a lot of verses removed in the NIV.

On Google play store it's the best Bible, free too. You Version Study Bible. I opened it up today and I was Shocked that my App was on 1 Peter 5 (CSB) I like csb but you can choose Kjv and many more. ) anyway 1 Peter 5 verse 8...

The passion translation is great for new testament, proverbs and psalms. Its also on the youversion Bible app. Other than that, I prefer esv.
