Hi everyone today going to my first A.A meeting not sure what to expect a bit nervous bc iam not a good speaker hoping I can just listen:pray:

When they ask if anyone is new to the meeting, you can introduce yourself and how long you have been sober. After a topic has been determined and they start going around the room, or you are called in, there is nothing wrong with saying “pass”. In AA, there is no being put on the spot.

It might be super weird the first time. Keep at it. Look for women's meetings and see if you can find secular (nonreligious) meetings near you.

Don’t worry Gigi you are going to do just fine, I remember my first time it wasn’t easy but after hearing others I was confident I believe you can do this.

Gigi just stay open minded and remember you are not a failure if it isn’t what you expected💕 their are so many resources for meetings . AA is not the only option . Trust yourself

Oh yes has anyone read about Women for Sobriety? Read the book turnabout by Jean Kirkpatrick founder of Women for Sobriety? I have been a member since step one of my sobriety, virtual meetings anywhere anytime and in person too
