Hi I am new to this app and have so many questions. First of all is there anyone here in Dayton ohio, I could use some local in person peer support. Also is there anything on this app that Tailors to individual drugs of choice? Is there anything that helps with the struggle to get and remain sober while trying to understand and deal with mental health issues, I have major chronic depressive disorder and bipolar 1 disorder, I personally feel they play a huge roll into why I struggle to stay clean. I have been struggling to get clean for well over a year now and I truly want my old life back before the drugs but I just can't seem to get there. Any answers, especially about local support and mental health will be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance for your time, I've been to outpatient rehab multiple times and it just didn't stick after discharge. I am truly hoping this app will be the one that makes it stick

Welcome Scott! I find this app to be better suited for online support/friends vs in person friends. As for your DOC question, no. This app is extremely diverse. It’s more of a support system and connection rather than a recovery program. There are people on here who are just starting to figure out they have a problem. They may be closer to sober curious and wanting to chat about it. While others have been battling this disease for years and have been thru multiple rehabs and heavy consequences. All addictions are represented.
My opinion (worth very little) is that your best bet to STAY clean and sober is to get involved with a daily recovery program, and use this app in addition to that program.
