Hi! I am new to this app. I am 32

Hi!! I am new to this app. I am 32 days sober, once again. I have some sobriety in the past 8 years and hopefully this is forever this time around. Thanks!

Welcome to Loosid and your new found journey to sobriety. Ask your self one question: what can I do differently this time that I’ve never done in my past attempts at sobriety?
For me, I was told to ask this same question in treatment. It was my second time in treatment and my third attempt at sobriety. When I answered that question and actually implemented it into my early stages of sobriety, my life changed. It wasn’t a fast change. In fact it took me over 6 months before I could really see the growth I had in my sobriety. Then I continued to make more changes. Reading books. Gaining knowledge on the spiritual world. Attending AA NA life ring and recovery Dharma meetings. Then Covid hit. Shut down all the meetings I loved. Zoom was tough but I did a few early on. Stayed in contact with friends I’ve meet early on. I meet more friends via online dating apps as my profile is real and o tell all about addiction days. This App has helped me a lot as well. Volunteering in my community at the local food bank once a week. It’s these acts of kindness and selflessness that had kept me sober. But I still suffer depression and anxiety from time to time. It’s my disease trying to suck me back into the abyss of enteral suffering. Our disease is real and all powerful, baffling and cunning and baffling. It will attack at anytime, anyplace to all that have it. Be safe. Stay sober. Help others. God is love!

Thanks! I’ve tried to many times but getting away from the person I was living with truley helped me last time. I did break up with him for good and moving on. In a safe place now :slightly_smiling_face:

Making it back is the hard part. It gets less difficult you know this. It gets so much better so much faster though...what have we done to deserve another chance. Grace plays out in amazing ways. O2-28-2OO2
