Just posting this is a great start! Quitting can be tough and it is okay to get help from the doctor.

Thank you!

I'm still waiting to see an Allergist, my Dr said yesterday on duo it was a bacterial infection and I'm not sure, how she could know, especially when I never mentioned Alcohol Intolerance.

Thank you!

Read at least the first couple of pages of this chapter.

Hi Kathy, how are you feeling since you told some people about your problem?

I drank alcohol nearly every single day for 25 years. I thought I was a lost cause. I did not believe I could stop. I did not believe that I was worth saving. But 494 days ago was my last hangover.

There are some incredible women on this site who can share with you their experience, strength and hope. There are so many roads to recovery and they all start with recognizing the problem. So congratulations on taking that first step.

Kathy, welcome . I’m glad you are here with us. This app has helped me a lot. Just like AA has changed my entire personality. I too drank for about 20 years. Had some sobriety days in a row but no problem. Then pick up again and then got into meth. Last my wife, job, and kicked out of my house.
I’ve since then, in less then 2 years, rebuilt my business, cleaned up my act, went to treatment, went to AA meetings, NA meetings, recovery Dharma meetings and life ring. Got into this app early on and didn’t post much of really use it until life was ready for me too. The long I’m sober the more clarity I gained. Now I’m working AA program to the best of my ability. I’m on here as much as I can. I’m open minded about spirituality and learning new habits.
Ask questions, ask questions, and then listen for the message. Check out the first three podcast on this app. They will give you good info.. we are all interconnected and are here to solve our common problem together.

I had the app for months before I finally made my latest attempt at sobriety. It helped me understand what to expect better than anything else I’d tried before. Gave me a new perspective of “can’t do it alone “. It’s helped me so much.

Have you tried going to zoom or local AA or NA meetings?

You my need rehab .after 20 years of drinking. Take action.with out it we die.

Kathy don't be scared I downloaded this after rehab 4 years ago and got a text now that I'm sober about this app. So I'm new too. Just take it like an aa meeting but online that's what I do lol.
