Hi! I’m new to this app, but I figured I would try posting because I’m looking for a LGBTQ+-friendly AA meeting to start attending in the Boston/Brookline area. I’m apart of the LGBTQ+ community, so I would love to find a safe and sober space, and I just don’t know where to start. I’m not religious, and I know sometimes with the religious ties, some AA meetings can be not as supportive to LGBTQ+ folks. I’ve only been sober 17 days, and I definitely think a community of sober folks (especially with other LGBTQ+ people!) would be incredibly helpful. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!

The availability of LGBTQ+ meetings will vary depending on location. I would hope some would be available in the greater Boston area. Have you tried zoom meetings? I know there are definitely a bunch on zoom. I hope you find what you are looking for :pray::peace_symbol:

Hi Maddie! My name is Lydia and I'm transgender. I sent you a friend request so that if you want to talk to an LGBT peer you can. Plus I'm always looking for an LGBT peer when I need to talk because my issues are tied in with my orientation and gender identity.
