That sucks if y’all are only on the community side. Loosid has a dating site for a reason, if dudes want to date, they should look only there for that.

I have experienced this on the community side as well. In the beginning I would respond to messages thinking that was clear since I wasn’t on the dating side, (and made some good connections!) but I don’t anymore which is a bummer it had to get to that. I just don’t have the mental bandwidth to give benefit of the doubt right now.

Hi I'm from Sober Grid too! I've been on here since they first announced they were closing down. So I totally hear you. And definitely get it but stick around- there's a lot of people just looking to be sober friends too! I've met some awesome people on here and there's a bunch of gridders that hopped on here when I did too! Good luck :heart::heart:

If our users are interested in dating, there is a dating section of the app that they can make use of but the community section is focused on helping each other in recovery.

Just ignore them. They should be on the dating side of this app. Use this for your recovery because this is some great sobriety on this site. Great people too.

Just stick with sober talk even in messages. You’ll be able to tell very fast who is a scam or a player. The Majority of the people are here to help each in our sobriety :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve had a few female bots contacting me often lol. I assumed these sites were safe places for sober people. Wanting to date while recovering on a sober app is a red flag for me. It’s too bad men are using this platform for anything other than supporting.
