Hi. New here. Very lonely Christmas this year. I have four years. Feel very disconnected and depressed. Looking forward to talking to some new people.
I feel you! This year I was stuck at home sick. I couldn’t see my family bc I was so sick. Hang in there and if you need someone to talk to I’m a great listener!
We’re never alone! I am grateful to have made it through Christmas sober! I have 3 years and did a lot of the things today that I’ve learned… had dinner with a sober friend, reached out, had a good day.. sometimes at the end of a day like this I get home and forget I’m not alone. Sometimes I just need to cry from being a big girl all day. I’m ok today and I know I’ve made it through a tough holiday.. we’re winning!
Thanks. I do go to meetings on Zoom and a couple in person. I also go to ACOA With all these Covid restrictions it’s been rough.
With all these Covid restrictions it’s been rough!!
Yes! I completely understand! I lead a women’s online recovery group just bc of all the Covid stuff! I feel it’s important for people to still have a safe place to share even if they are sick or have Covid. Unfortunately I had to cancel the group last Tuesday bc I lost my voice from being sick!
Is your group on Zoom?
Yes!
It is a Christ Center Recovery Group that is women only and is called Celebrate Recovery.
Here for you Love!!

Merry Christmas beautiful. I'm a great listener and you should hang in there. I can talk if you're down
Feel better soon!
Thank you!
I am here to talk to. The holidays can magnify depression and loneliness. It seems like everyone has family and friends to spend the holiday with....but there really are a large majority of people that are alone, or ill. The best thing to do is reach out, just like you did.
My second sober Christmas here and I understand. Too much time alone for me also. Thankfully my AA group is doing a NYE event. Starting over is a hard thing and major life change. You’re not alone, we are all here.
