Hi! Today I have 10 days clean from Crystal Meth, by grace of God...and I am really feeling the aftereffects, from the drug, their not pretty at all...I just want to hurry the process up and start feeling happy, healthy..that "Life is Beautiful" feeling; start really enjoying life; right now I'm just trying to get through the day without using..feeling miserable and unmotivated to do anything, but take naps, and eat.. Suggestions, please?? Thank you for any suggestions, I definitely take them ALL seriously, because really This Is SERIOUS...this is Life or Death..my addiction is trying it's very best to take me Out, but today I Choose LIFE!!
My advice is to realize that it takes time. We always want to speed the process but that is extremely dangerous. My biggest tip is to take it slow and don't do relationships for the first year. For us on you. Get into therapy. Go to meetings and see a psychiatrist if needed. The first few months and first year s the hardest. You're going to feel everything on a thousand and you have to just hold tight and continue to find things you like to do. But as of right now, sit back and give yourself a break and time to adjust. The chemicals have barely left your system. Keep busy with productive things and journal when your well enough to. Random thought journals are great. You just wrote or type whatever comes to your mind at that point of writing. It doesn't have to make sense and probably won't. But it's the releasing of thoughts and feelings. And please people places and things change now! Change of ideas come to follow later. Good luck on your journey and if you need anything feel free to message.
One thing that helps me is to never allow it to be an OPTION. Cause as soon as I start thinking, “should I?”, it’s all over. Avoid being near anyone who might be using. Congrats on your clean time.
Thank you, ladies...for the Awesome advice or suggestions, best advice I've received, so far..very helpful...I will definitely keep all your suggestions in mind...thank you, once again..Good luck in your recovery journey and be blessed!
