Home, work, school, & NICU ✝️

My son is now a little over a month old…he was born at 29wk 4days gestation. He’s thriving in the NICU with minimal complications. My days have been a lot…I wake up around 3:30am on days I have to work and then get off of work to get home and change real quick to catch my 40 minute ride to the NICU to visit with him for a couple hours before I go back home. I get back around 5:30-6pm. Then it’s fitting schoolwork into my days too so that I don’t fall behind anymore then I already have. I haven’t been focusing in my meetings like I should. I thankfully have a supportive group text with women in recovery and a network that checks on me so I have been able to stay clean. The mental strain of having a baby in the NICU has been a lot, my heart drops every time they call me - even though it’s usually just about an update. I cannot stress how ready I am for my son to come home! However, I am beyond grateful and blessed to even be experiencing life this way
