How can I fix my equilibrium without medication? 7 days sober

Do you think it pertains to withdrawal ?

Possibly but even when I had a month sober recently I still had it

Time. Post acute withdrawal can take up to a year.

Reading Alcohol Explained really helped me.

So my equilibrium can be off up to a year?

I would check with your dr or an ENT . Could be your ears.

Mine took a couple months to reequilibrate. Time and hand railings. Going down steps was the hardest part because my eyes were acting weird. Feel great now though. Good luck on your journey.

Tracy is right on. Talk to a doctor. It took my body several months to “recalibrate” after getting sober.

Arguing with Taylor and some nursing advice… so you got that going for you…lol

Those are two pretty solid things !

Your body is going to take awhile acclimating to having no alcohol. Eat well, supplements, plenty of water and plenty of rest. You’re healing.

Yes… treat yourself as if you have the flu : be kind to yourself, fill up with good consistent hydration, eat what soothes you (try not to overindulge on refined sugars), and get lots of rest. Tapping and guided meditations help the body and brain connect quicker too. I meditate every night, gratitude meditation in the morning and tapping for anxiety or their 8 min craving buster is great to realign quickly too.

Stick to the nursing advice! There’s a lot of value in that, and you can help others. Arguing with Taylor is a waste of time and energy. You either appreciate his input…or you don’t lol. Your positive energy is needed to help others. The rest of of us appreciate your experience, strength, and hope

I didn’t argue

I’m thankful for all the advice. Apparently there are also home exercises to help

Hi Anthony! My comment wasn’t directed to you. How are you feeling today? Be patient with your mental and physical health. Most of us come into recovery a little beaten up from years of neglecting and/or caring for ourselves. It takes time to heal.

Good things take time. It definitely doesn’t happen overnight. We’re all a work in progress. Physically and mentally !
