Shafer, I achieved emotional sobriety by doing the 12 steps with a sponsor. I maintain emotional stability by utilizing the tools I’ve acquired by doing the 12 steps multiple times and lots of service.
I sponsor if you’re interested in talking about, I’m here.

Have a feeling that running or exercise may help balance those endorphins. Your feelings are valid though, stay YOU!

The honest to God truth for me is the 12th steps, the program and meetings. The people that I have met in the rooms keep me sober. They’ve become better friends than I’ve ever had in my life. Talking talking talking! Talk about your feelings to someone even if you don’t get feedback, just saying it out loud to someone helps. And keeping busy

It’s okay to feel all the feels, especially during the holidays. Emotional sobriety takes time and practice.
Try to the emotions and name them without judgement. Notice what triggers you. Instead of numbing, use tools like meditation, grounding, even just take a minute to breath. Emotional growth doesn’t happen overnight, so try to celebrate the wins no matter how big or small they are. At 5 years sober I’m still moving through the ups and downs. :muscle:
