How do I deal with an upcoming dinner when my spouse won’t stay sober;

Define dinner, are we talking a dinner party out? Or just dinner at home? Is this going to be a bunch of people or just you and her? There are a lot of variables to the whole thing. A party might be easier to make it through with the good old “I’m the DD” if it is just the two of you then that might still work. I mean somebody has to drive… either way you should seek some counseling.
That has to be tough. I am lucky my wife rarely drinks

Your life.if you need help .go to aa meetings and get more help and take her.even if she is drunk.we all need to remember.

If your worried about relaxing ar the dinner decide what is more important dinner or your sobriety. It’ll definitely make an impact point if it’s with family.
