By going to an AA meeting and making yourself known.

Looking for a sponsor.
First and foremost please take your time. This is not a race you have the rest of your life to recover.
Second you need help find yourself a home group which is a group that you know you're going to attend on a regular basis.
Try and keep your mouth shut and listen to people who are talking about, the program, the literature, working steps, their own experiences in the program and in working steps.
Trying to make sure that you have something in common with the potential sponsor.
And then just ask, keep it simple

You can go to a in person meeting, a zoom meeting. Look for one who you can relate to.
Theres no rush but it is important to find one and work steps. I could sponsor but i am in dallas tx
