How do I go about finding a sponsor? I’m struggling

If I have no luck online I'm probably going to an in person group. If you have a group nearby it's probably the best way. I tried an online sponsor once 3 years ago and that didn't really go well

Go to an in person meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous. After the meeting, ask for a meeting schedule.
Keep going until you find someone who you relate to.

You definitely need to go to an in-person meeting if you can. My first sponsor was online and it didn’t really work for me either. If not maybe contact the nearest Area Service Office and they should be able to help. Good luck.
