Ahhhh, you get away from them? Find new people who aren’t.

I either leave, or invite them to an AA meeting. The problem usually goes away pretty quickly.

I don’t hang around people that are drunk. I don’t engage in activities in which the sole purpose is to drink. I’m ok if people happen to be drinking around me while I’m engaging in an activity that is healthy. Those are my boundaries. Boundaries are important.

Agree with the other comments. You should leave if you’re uncomfortable. One of the many perks of sobriety is that you can always drive yourself somewhere else. Use that power!

I unfortunately live with family members who pretty much drink everyday. When I get a car, I will go far far away.

I remove myself and of a family gathering I don’t stay longer than I should.
