Just do things that fill your soul and go places where the kinds of people you would like to be around will be.
You aren't alone.

You know, that is a tough question but I am certain you would be missed. I have been praying for a higher purpose for months now. Some days I find it at church or recovery meetings, helping a friend and recently strangers who have become new friends. They got evicted today and that was a sad sight as he recently was attacked and now with the brain injury handles stress pretty poorly. I spent the morning driving his wife to the courthouse to try and file a motion to stop it which failed. The rest of the morning was spent talking him down and keeping him from jail meanwhile trying to help them move some belongings on a bad hip, shattered tailbone and a ruptured disc, to name a few. By noon I was done for the day.
I tell you all of this not for praise nor sympathy but I guess to tell you that purpose is ALL AROUND YOU. They say be careful what you pray for and I have to admit that I have found more purpose in the last few weeks than I can even handle at times. I trust you will find that purpose. Don't wait for purpose to find you, as you may be disappointed at what shows up.
Hey Carmen, no matter how you feel you do matter, and have worth. If you're interested I have a couple good books that my therapist recommended that I can share with you. They're faith based, and I'm grateful for them. I'll friend you so you can let me know. Thank you for sharing your honesty.
Kinda like don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it???
Exactly!
What state do you live in?
Carmen, howâs your I support system? Do you have people close by you can reach out to for daily support? Perhaps building some friendships in this forumâŚhappy to support anyone in this situationâŚ.. we all have similarities and ability to support each other.
There was once a time when all I had to support me was my two pups. No matter how hard things got and no matter how much the outside world tried to tear me down, each time I crawled through that door I was the greatest thing ever to those two little guys! They taught me so much about unconditional love and helped me continue putting one foot in front of the other. My life is very different today. Itâs not what I pictured for myself but it is still wonderful. Trust the process Carmen! Love those pups the way they love you! Your day will come!!!!
You donât have to do this alone. Download the meetings app and find a meeting. We are all in this together
