Sometime "No" is a complete sentence and all you need to say. Live the boundaries you create
Sounds like you need different friends if they can’t respect you hopefully they will start listening to you
You need to get to a point when you don't drink in social settings. It's hard and sometimes you just need to leave. Gets easier over time.
You're going to find out after a while that those people are not really your friends because if they were they would respect your boundaries and not ask you in the first place. The best way to do this is just start finding some sober friends to hang out with. Get active with AA and do some volunteering.
Many changes happen in our lives once we get sober and choose to stay sober. It's a great journey that brings much reward.
Let them now you are in a program of some kind.aa and they will run a way from you.be safe!!.
Be firm and strong.
Well..! i have a similar story and here's what i did, i followed them everywhere and drank only water - they all felt i was just tryna pull some stunts, but the fourth time we went out was our last, i didn't stay away from them they all stayed away from me. This is when i realized we weren't “FRIENDS” to begin with.
Sometimes you need to cut people out. It's just the way it is. You gotta do what's best for you.
