How do you utilize this app?

I love this app but I mainly use it to keep track of my sober days and also vent here when I need to.

When I am struggling and come here for help many responses I get are that this community is very helpful. I’m wondering how many of you use the app? I want to use it to its fullest potential so I don’t relapse again.

The messages are helpful sometimes but a lot of people message me flirting and that is not what I’m here for. I want a real online community

Like with any community there is going to be good and bag things. Most people post on here and ask for help or do daily gratitude. I feel like this app is to build community and help a fellow addict/alcoholic in need and to spread wisdom onto others from our personal experiences.

Lisa .. I agree with Esmeralda.

I'm not trying to survive in the belly of the beast as much as surviving the beast I was putting in my belly :upside_down_face:

Staying on track is super important, and our premium feature, SAM (Sobriety and Addiction Mentor), can be a big help. SAM offers daily guidance, personalized assignments, and a built-in journal to support your sobriety journey. It’s like having a mentor in your pocket, helping you build a solid routine and stay connected. If you’re looking to strengthen your commitment and avoid relapse, SAM might be just what you need. Keep going!

It doesn’t seem to be any good for finding sober events, connecting with local people, or really anything at all but reading random posts and getting upsell sales pitches from the app. Everything AA app will track gratitude, has all the materials, online meetings and is free.

I won't flirt. I want to help people and build a support group myself. Happy holidays. I'm always here to talk if you need a friend

Just stay focused :100:

Everywhere in life your going to find people doing negative things for selfish reasons, just concentrate on the positive feedback not the negative. There are plenty of us that use the app and give positive feedback. We only have today, the past is gone and the future is not here yet so as long as you make a commitment not to drink today or just this morning or just this hour is something that helped me in the beginning. If you really truly honestly want to be clean and sober you can do it. I was the biggest screw up,drunk, come head ever and I have been clean going on 5 years now. I am 58 years young and thought I would be :potable_water:and getting high until my death. You can do this. Stay positive, get a support group. If need go to AA or NA or even a 30 day rehab in the beginning. You can go this.

I'm glad you're here. It's nice to get feedback, but you'd be surprised how much you can help others when you share your incites. It comes back to you. We all have our own original thoughts that someone else would be lucky to hear and avoid having to figure things out for themselves. Good luck to you!

Lisa, for me this app community is also a place to be of service, which enhances my sobriety.
