How is everyone? Im doing ok ish. But not exactly. I recently stopped attending a specific recovery path and 99 percent of my support network ghosted me. Including my best friends. It happened in May. I made the right decision for me. Now I am lonely. Unfortunately the 12 step group i was in, treated it like a cult and shunned me for stepping away from a service position. This was ONE meeting/group. It ruined it for me. I am still clean. I am still sober. I have three years this month. Everyones recovery looks different. Mine is lonely right now. Im grieving the loss of who I thought loved me. It has been difficult. Thank you for reading.
You are right about everyone's recovery being different. Just keep doing what works best for you. Make that decision to better yourself and take care
You know you made the right decision so while right now everything seems difficult it will get better!
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Yeah I just feel a bit lost. Floating around or something.
What are the odds of 99% of the people in a specific recovery path being wrong.
I wish you luck in maintaining your sobriety on your own.
Please keep us posted on your journey.
Why did you have to be rude? I thought I blocked you. I’ll try again. And report you. Again.
People like you are why I left Loosid before. You are blocked again. Do NOT comment on my posts, you are sick.
Thank you for being so open and honest. That takes real strength. I’m so sorry you’re feeling alone after making a decision that was best for your mental health and recovery. You should be proud—you’ve stayed sober for three years, even through heartbreak and isolation. That’s incredible. Recovery doesn’t have to look one way, and you’re living proof that it’s still valid even if the path changes. You’re not alone. Sending you strength and support—you matter, and your journey matters.
So your grieving the loss of alot of fake shallow people . Sounds like you've been blessed. I've experienced that to a degree myself. In smaller communities halls can be more inner circle or clickish do to the lack of variety in members and halls. That's not what the program is about. Maybe travel to another group or see if there's an NA or CA meeting around. Any hall that uses the 12 steps we are members of.
