Ive just started dating a bit. Almost 1000 days sober, and im ready... I think?
The dilemma is when to bring up the ...I won't touch alcohol with a ten foot pole... conversation.
So far, it's either scared em off or it becomes a meeting instead of a date.
Dating sober people is difficult as they are hard to find and crazy as a loon. Just like me!
Should i make it the first sentence? Should it just be a surprise??

If that conversation comes up just let them know that you are allergic to the ingredients of alcohol.
You're not misrepresenting the truth. That's for sure.
I think honesty is always the best policy. If they run, that might be a blessing in disguise. If they celebrate with you, that could also be a blessing in disguise. I believe in fate, though, so you never know the worst could happen as you make a new friend.
