How to let them down easy

I’ve been in a relationship now for about 4 or 5 months. This is my first real relationship in 5 years. Im not happy. He’s a good guy, just not the guy for me. If that makes sense. We never do anything. We sit in the house day in and day out and watch tv. Im bored out of my mind. I’ve noticed more urges to get high since I’ve moved in with him. I’ve tried to even force a spark in this relationship. I feel nothing. I care about him. But I don’t love him and never will. I’ve been living with him now for about a month and I’ve already started my exit strategy. I found a place to rent. I need to let this guy down easy. He’s head over heels for me and the feeling just isn’t mutual. I also feel like being single for 5 years before him didn’t help either. I’ve become so comfortable in my own company. I don’t want to hurt this guy but I’m so unhappy. Any advice of how to let him down easy. Move all my stuff out in peace.

You have to do what is good for you your sobrietyoshi bride is more important than anything or anyone if he truly loves you he would understand if he don't understand sorry to say he wasn't meant for you and I totally agree Once you've been living alone for a while and then over I did all of a sudden just picked up and moved in with someone it doesn't matter if it's a relationship or a family member or just a friend That takes a big change for a person to adapt to aespecially a person that is in recovery so I would what is best for you and your sobriety it's OK to have a relationship and not be living with somebody Especially if that person doesn't understand what's important To you or for you Sometimes we have to let go of things that could be really good for us but we may not be good for it Or in this case for him and obviously you're getting Uncomfortable and that's not a good thing All I can really say to you is please be very careful don't let your emotions get the best of what you need for yourself We are very special and unique indivjewels and we have to be very careful and pay attention to all of the red flags that pops up in our lives I hope this helped a little bit if not you can always message me you have a great day keep your head up and remember you come First

He sounds like stable homebody.
But, you have to be honest with yourself to be happy.
Do the next best thing.

There is no “easy way” to let someone know they’re not interested anymore. You have to do what you have to do to be happy . He will eventually get over it

My advise? be honest and get out ASAP.

Yeah just sit with him and tell him you made a mistake and rushed into things and you need to work on yourself more
Good luck

Honesty. Don’t be cruel but truthful and straight forward. If you aren’t feeling it… that’s okay.

Single. It’s not bad. Think I will have a partner at some point

Be honest. Share that you care about him, but that you don’t think you fit well. It’s ok when things don’t work out. Being honest about it is essential, though.

I've been in a similar situation a couple of times. I was kind and respectful, obviously, but just had to do it. Prior to actually doing it, I felt bad for dragging it on for every hour after I decided what I wanted, and felt shitty for hurting someone for a while afterwards. Sending you positive vibes.

To thine own self be true. Treat him as you want to treated.

Honesty is the best way to go. Just keep it real with him and let him know it’s not personal but that it’s not working for you either and that it’s stagnating your growth and giving you bad thoughts. Trine to move on!

Sheri, it’s a difficult thing. It’s not selfish in a lot of cases where the term “looking out for number 1” comes into play. This is one of those cases.

There's no "easy" way. Make your moves quick and get out.

I call it independence! Many peeps confuse it with loneliness? Of course most of us are experts at everything that's why we are here!? Love all of you, and keep it going!

Honesty always helps when having these hard decisions about feelings. If you are honest you both can have closure moving forward in your separate directions.
