Humans are the only animal that punishes itself over and over for mistakes. If you have survived alcoholism, even for one day, you have all the punishment you need. Lay it down, let it go, for 24 hours. One day at a time. Some days I need to remind myself of this, so I wanted to share. It’s a shiny new month, and tomorrow will be a shiny new day.
