I all ready have OCD,but now I just can't stop myself from over cleaning but it seems to help my struggles with addiction ,I'm stronger everyday but in someway I'm wearing myself out just to focus on a sobriety lufe from alcohol and crack cocaine but my mind has to keep busy
Cleaning is good. Have you tried journaling? Listening to the podcasts on here? You are strong, you got this!!
Glad you are here, I believe with time you will have more balance, maybe start a workout routine at home to change it up but still keeping your body in motion..
Deborah it is quite normal and typical. Initial sobriety for me, my addiction went into cleaning, sugar, running, lifting, working and woman.
The most important thing I did was AA/CA meetings daily and 12 steps.
It took a long minute to balance out. But I stayed the course.
I’m here if you want to talk
I do quite a bit of journaling which helps some but then again the impulse of re arranging and cleaning comes to my brain
@deborah255382 not to be a however when you're done there you can come and clean mine. I'll pay you for it.
In the beginning of my journey I caught myself forever trying to keep myself busy the truth is for me was although staying active in recovery is what they teach you they also try and show you that things Ned to be done at a pace don’t over exert yourself I know I try to keep myself busy mind at the same pace with me levels things out your doing great keep reaching asking others helps you figure things out stay positive your doing it
