I also recommend this book for anyone that feels like they “ self sabotage.” It explains to you the reason behind why you self sabotage, and also explains how to manage/control that part of your mind. It was comforting to know that there is a reason for this behavior and it can be understood/corrected.

I actually have adhd as well. What I’ve found is that you have to read something that pertains to you and it must interest you. There’s been books that just don’t do it for me and I end up moving on to another book up my alley. No reason to continue reading anything that just doesn’t do it for you. I was looking to see if I could post a picture of some of the pages on here, but it’s not giving me the option. I’ll just put up a new post with a page or two so you can see it.

I have adhd too. The struggle is real with reading lol. Yeah if I’m not into it I can’t focus on what I’m reading at all. I like to try and read a couple pages of something I think I’d like to try it out first. And I definitely self sabotage lol so I need to give this book a try! Thanks for sharing!

I have pretty bad adhd but it only means I have to try harder to get into a book. The good thing is I have hyper-focus adhd. So if I can get interested (or obsessed :joy:) I will finish a book in a day. Interest is the mother of attention, and attention is the mother of memory. Just a quote I always like to remember because it interests me :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

No problem. I think it’s one of those books that is useful to everyone regardless of where we are at mentally. It’s nice to be able to understand how our minds work so we can better understand them, and have better control over our thought process.
