I am an avid fly fisher. So for anyone who does the same your going to totally identify with this .
Today was a sober sparkle day!! I landed a beautiful rainbow this morning and the adrenaline rush was the ultimate “high” .
Being into my 7 month of sobriety my fishing skills have improved 10 fold!
My confidence with wading and crossing rivers has never been so strong. My balance has so improved.
My hands no longer shake when I’m putting flys onto my line. And yes :raised_hands: I can do a blood knot finally!!!
My concentration and focus has also improved, and I feel and see a hit on the line much earlier.
Most importantly and I do mean most importantly is that I’m present , living in the now , actually living in the moment and not haunted by thoughts of where and when will be my next drink.
So for me I have the ultimate gratitude for my sobriety!!!! The gifts of sobriety are bountiful. I am grateful for my absolute acceptance, determination and commitment to living a sober life which has allowed me to actually gain my life back. I am grateful for the” sober sparkle “ .

I have just barely begun fishing too! I don’t fly fish, but there’s just something about being out in that water. What a beautiful share, thank you!
