I am feeling defeated. Can’t put together more than two weeks at a time of sobriety. Can’t live with it, can’t live without it.
I don’t have much advice to offer but I want you to know that you’re not alone, i’m currently struggling with the same thing.
I trust that we will be okay💞
Thanks Lily. There will be better days.
You can live without it. It is difficult, and a complete lifestyle change but it can be done. None of us get this thing called life perfect. Progress not perfection. Have you tried any program for recovery? AA, SMART recovery, recovery darma… there are several. We all need help sometimes. There is no shame in asking for help. I hope you find the peace you are searching for.
I had to move, lose all my “friends,” and stay with family for a while just to really kick the bottle. It really didn’t take until I started seeing material financial success in my life. You have to want it more than the alternative.
I have dealing with the same thing. It’s miserable. We got to keep trying maybe next time three weeks, a month…
Jeanne, I feel your pain and desperation. I went through this pattern for about 2-3 years before I made it past 30 days. It’s cyclical and you will deceive yourself into thinking that one drink will help you feel better and then many drinks later you’ll feel worse. Push through the feeling and hold on to your dream. You can do this!
3 weeks was the point where I failed time and time again. In my experience, toughing it out until weeks six was the key.
Trust me you can live so much better without it. Best of luck on your journey
Hit meetings and try to make friends with some ladies that have what you want and make sure and stay in contact with them
2 weeks has always been my stumbling point until I hit 189 days and then blew it!!! So don't give up longer stretches are possible and today I am surpassing 14 days again! You can do this, we can do this. Sober is so much better th Anyway!! Anyday! Everyday!
