Hi Karlie. Be proud of yourself. The fact you are starting the work of sobriety puts you miles ahead. Of what, I will not say but as your eyes continue to open you will see :eyes: If you have not already, look up or Google AA and or NA meetings in your area. Sure this app can be of help and use but nothing will take the place of physically being around others that share your struggles. Unfortunately, at least in my experience. Loneliness is part of this journey. Good news is you will find ways of dealing with things that do not include substance abuse as well as other people dealing with the same struggles as you voiding the loneliness for the most part. Also I'm sure you will find plenty of people on this app ready to lend an ear and helping hand when you need it. God Bless and again congratulations

You may be Lonely but not Alone. Trust the process.. you may feel uncomfortable for the first year dealing with your THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS... GO to A AA MEETING and get a WOMEN'S NAME LIST... REACH OUT TO THEM... REALIZE THAT YOU ARE BEGINNING ON A JOURNEY TO SELF DISCOVERY... REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE WORTH IT.. SO BE KIND TO YOURSELF IN THE PROCESS OF RECOVERY

Thank you very much for the reply. I have been doing in the room meetings and go to a Friday night AA meeting at the place where I have been attending a PHP program. This was the first night that pink clouds started to fade. I wish it would stay lol. I know it can’t though.

I loves hearing that I'm alone at not lonely, it was a line Robert Dinero's character said in the movie HEAT. Sorry for the tangent.

I've been divorced for 15 years or so? Not sure of the time with a few failed relationships a few first dates and being an introvert.

When I was in Vegas I found a meeting i clicked with and opened up to. I was invited to gatherings, dinners, etc. I had to put the work in. As an introvert it was difficult I knew I had to overcome it.

Did I meet my future ex wife in the rooms? No, ideally it would be nice. Doesn't mean that won't happen, it's my Higher Powers time.

I moved to South Carolina May 2023 and have to start all over. It's a challenge I know I'll overcome and is worth it.
