I am going to rehab Wednesday. I am scared it

Yeah but Kim rehab should not be a on going thing. Ppl places and things life in general will always be around. You can’t just go to rehab to get away from the earth to get sober again and again. Rehab is and should be a one and done deal. You should never go to rehab more than once. If anyone goes to rehab or hits that bottom they should wake the f up and realize I have a mental issue. Anyone who keeps going back to rehab really needs to understand they have a problem and can’t drink anything or drug or anything that alters them. Rehab is a one and done deal. I feel bad for ppl who can’t get it after going to rehab. Going to rehab creates a horrible ripple effect on the persons family, friends and spouse. It’s honestly embarrassing for anyone to have to keep going back and that’s the truth and that embarrassment should push that person to make a f’ing change

Does it matter how many times? how many ways? Should we all give up if it doesn't take the 1st or subsequent times? Not much of a pep talk? At the end of the day none of us knows diddly squat about the meaning of someone else's life let alone their journey

Good luck, Beth!

Let me think about that one. I'm a truck driver and I have a pretty full plate right now. I see you're from Pagosa Springs. I'll bet you know who Pat Parelli is.

Check out this Back To Basics series. There are 4 parts.

You can also buy the book online to help you follow along. Everything in there is from the big book and it reflects the way things were done in the beginning. Few people understand how things were done in the beginning.

They had a 75% success rate.

Thank you Dave! I’ll check out the series! And I don’t know Pat personally but of course know about the Parelli Ranch.

100 percent honesty, acceptance let go of your WILL

Listen to Sandy Beach google him amazing sobriety actual passed away at a big book meeting back in 2014 had over 50 years sobriety. His shares are awesome.

Beth, first of all, good job taking the step to go to rehab. From my experience, and there’s been plenty, there is no fix. There is no cure. There is no magic. Rehab will help, and get you clear headed and surrounded by people who know EXACTLY what you are going through. Be brutally honest, trust me, nothing will shock anyone. If you want to stop drinking, you must decide that for yourself. You have to really want to stop. Not drinking is easy, but truly making the decision to be sober is the tough part. Good luck, Beth.

Rehab was incredible. I appreciate your support. I have a good resume, just need to find the right jobs and recruiters to help me find a new career path. Unsure of what else I can do at the moment.

Give it a chance but do what is true for you. IOP saved my life

It's very scary prior to going, but if you stay open to the process, put all else on hold, and focus on getting better, you will never regret it.

It won’t it you don’t let it work

Rehab won't work if you aren't done and hit your bottom and are spiritually emotionally and physically DONE!! It will just give you a break and that's it! Getting a sponsor going to meetings and working the 12 steps is the truth! It WORKS! If you do all that!!
